Inspects, repairs, installs, and maintains electrical systems, machinery, and equipment. Ensures all work performed meets required safety codes and is properly inspected. This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Major/Essential Functions- Knowledge of the tools, materials, methods, and practices of the electrical trade.
- Working knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the electrical trade.
- Ability to work from penciled sketches and blueprints.
- Skill in using the standard tools and equipment of the electrical trade.
- Skill in locating and correcting defects in electrical systems and equipment.
High school diploma or GED. Licensed Journeyman Electrician with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (or other state), OR a combination of job-related experience and training to equal four (4) years.
In accordance with Texas Executive Order GA-48 and applicable state or federal law, this position may involve access to, work on, or conduct research involving critical infrastructure. It will require background checks, including, but not limited to, criminal history and other security-related screenings. Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of these checks.
Preferred Qualifications- Ability to use and operate a computer.
- Possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
