Pantex is seeking a skilled and motivated SAP ABAP Technical Developer to design, develop, and maintain robust solutions within our SAP Enterprise Resource Planning Central Component (ECC) and SAP Business Suite 4 SAP High‑Performance Analytic Appliance (S/4

HANA) landscapes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in ABAP development, a commitment to quality, and a collaborative approach to problem‑solving within an Agile environment. This role offers the opportunity to work on challenging projects, advance technical expertise, and contribute to the evolution of our SAP systems.

• Design, develop, test, and implement high‑quality ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms and workflows Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms and Workflows (RICEFW objects) within SAP ECC and S/4
  
  HANA environments.
• Translate functional specifications into technical designs, ensuring solutions are robust, scalable, and maintainable.
• Collaborate with functional consultants, business analysts, and project managers to understand requirements and deliver effective SAP solutions.
• Participate actively in Agile SCRUM development projects, including sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and sprint reviews.
• Perform debugging and troubleshooting of complex technical issues in SAP systems.
• Participate in performance tuning and maintenance activities.
• Adhere to established development standards, best practices, and change management processes, including the use of version control systems.
• Document technical designs, development specifications, and testing procedures thoroughly.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and technical standards.
• Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and mentorship; lead technical design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering/science/information technology discipline:
  Minimum 2 years of relevant experience. Typical engineering/science experience ranging from 3 to 7 years.
• OR Master’s degree in engineering/science/information technology discipline.
• OR Applicants without a bachelor's degree may be considered based on a combination of at least 10 years of completed education and/or relevant experience.

• Minimum 4 years of experience in ABAP development within SAP ECC or S/4 HANA.
• Demonstrated experience in designing, maintaining, and implementing enterprise business applications.
• Practical experience with Agile SCRUM development methodologies.
• Proficiency with relational database management systems, particularly SAP ECC, S/4 HANA, Oracle, and experience with Structured Query Language (SQL).
• Strong understanding of Object‑Oriented Design concepts such as inheritance, composition, encapsulation, and the Model‑View‑Controller (MVC) design pattern.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, Subversion) and understanding of change management processes (e.g., Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery/Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, SAP transports).
• Ability to develop robust and maintainable code with clear documentation.
