Driver – Local Delivery (Class A With Hazmat)

Location:

Amarillo, TX – Fill Plant / Industrial.

  Monday‑Friday, Day Shift

• Cylinder Handling:
  Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to both external and internal customer locations.
• Record Keeping:
  Accurately record deliveries and pick‑ups on a load manifest, obtain customer signatures for receipt, collect empty, rejected, or unsold cylinders, and return them to a plant or branch for refilling.
• Safety and Compliance:
  Adhere to all Airgas safety standards (SAFECOR) and government regulations, including DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA.
• Warehouse Support:
  Provide assistance in the warehouse or on the dock as needed.

• Valid TX Class A Commercial Driver's License.
• Valid Medical Examiner's Card.
• Hazmat & Airbrake Certifications.
• At least 1 year of prior Class A professional driving experience within the last 5 years and a clean driving record with no more than two convictions or at‑fault accidents.
• Or able to submit a diploma from an accredited driving school plus at least 1 year driving experience within the last 5 years.
• Minimum age 21 years.
• Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets.
• Ability to routinely lift 25–75 lbs and occasionally lift 76–125 lbs with equipment.
• Must be able to drive hazardous cargo for up to 8 hours; frequent bending required.
• Work independently under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Forklift operator certification required.
