Salary Range: $20.00 To $23.00 Hourly
KB Recycling is seeking a reliable and skilled Class A CDL Driver to join our team. This driver will work our flatbed route, will load flatbed with bales using a forklift, and must be able to throw straps over loads.
The Class A CDL Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism. Pay dependent on experience. Performance and Holiday bonuses eligibility after 1 year of employment.
Duties
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Safely transport freight to designated locations while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Load bales on flatbed using a forklift.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and any incidents that occur during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise.
Skills
- Proficient in truck driving with experience operating manual transmission vehicles.
- Strong understanding of load securing techniques for safe transportation.
- Excellent navigation skills with a focus on safety and compliance with road regulations.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Requirements:
- Applicants should be 21+
- Have a current Class A CDL license
- Have a minimum of 3 years of CDL driving experience
- Have a clean driving record
- Pass a background check
- Pass drug and alcohol screen
- Ability to throw straps over high loads
- Lift 50lbs
