Job Overview: The Material Handler will load and unload material within a warehouse, utilizing hand trucks, forklifts, overhead cranes, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move material to and from trucks or trains and within the storage facility. This position requires knowledge of commonly used practices and procedures, and follows pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
Responsibilities- Load and unload material using hand trucks, forklifts, overhead cranes, stacker cranes, side loaders, yard dogs, and other handling equipment.
- Use hand tools such as grinders, banders, drills, hammers, pliers, screwdrivers, and wrenches as needed.
- Accurately read and use a tape measure for material handling tasks.
- Provide high quality work to all internal and external customers.
- Overtime will be required as needed.
- Ability to operate a wide variety of material handling equipment including forklifts, overhead cranes, stacker cranes, side loaders, yard dogs, etc.
- Ability to use a variety of hand tools including grinders, banders, drills, hammers, pliers, screwdrivers, wrenches, etc.
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
- Responsible for providing high quality work to all internal and external customers.
