CNC/PLC Maintenance Specialist Why this role

  • Pay: $24–$29/hour, paid weekly
  • Premium: +$4/hour shift differential for second shift
  • Hours:

    Mon–Thu, 3:30 PM–2:00 AM; overtime potential Fri–Sun

Keep complex equipment running safely and reliably across the plant. You’ll blend mechanical repair, electrical diagnostics, and fabrication to minimize downtime and elevate performance, always with a safety-first mindset.

Core responsibilities
  • Lead with safety; follow all safety and quality procedures.
  • Execute preventive and corrective maintenance for industrial machinery and mechanical systems.
  • Install, wire, test, and maintain electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures using hand/power tools and precision instruments.
  • Troubleshoot faults using meters, scopes, and diagnostic tools; resolve issues on apparatus and components.
  • Connect conductors to breakers, transformers, and other devices to code.
  • Lay out, balance, and align machinery; perform laser alignment and vibration checks.
  • Plan and perform safe rigging operations; support additional safety-related duties as required.
  • Fabricate parts (fittings, valves, brackets) from cold-rolled steel, stainless, plate, and structural materials.
  • Maintain compliance with local/state/federal electrical codes.
  • Assist with miscellaneous electrical functions and rigging as assigned.
Equipment and systems you’ll touch
  • CNC machines and advanced processing equipment
  • Material handling systems, press brakes, lifting devices, and sawing equipment
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • PLC-controlled equipment and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
What you bring
  • At least 2 years of experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
  • Mechanical aptitude with pipe fitting, predictive, and preventive maintenance know-how.
  • Proficient with oxy-acetylene torch work and welding; welding certification required.
  • Laser alignment and vibration monitoring required.
  • Competent programming of VFDs and troubleshooting PLCs.
  • Proficient with hand/power tools and testing equipment (ohmmeters, voltmeters, oscilloscopes) for continuity, compatibility, and safety checks.
  • Ability to work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install/repair electrical systems.
  • Certified and safe operation of forklifts and high lifts.
  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical drive systems.
  • Conversational English (read/write/speak). High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Physical capability and environment
  • Lift 20–50 lbs repeatedly during a shift.
  • Frequent bending, sitting, standing, climbing, twisting, and stooping.
  • Walk 2–5 miles per shift.
  • Vision: 20/30 with corrective lenses; precise hand-finger coordination for small parts.
Industrial setting with variable temperatures, high noise, and equipment vibration. Exposure may include:
  • Moving machinery, electrical current, high places (scaffolds), high heat, and chemicals
  • Fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, or limited ventilation
  • Oils and cutting fluids (air/skin contact)
