If you enjoy building heavy-duty machinery from the ground up, solving mechanical challenges, and working on varied, made-to-order projects, this is a strong long-term opportunity on a full-time daylight shift.
Required Skills:- Proven experience in millwright work, industrial machinery assembly, or heavy-equipment maintenance
- Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on troubleshooting ability
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions
- Experience assembling and installing mechanical drive components such as motors, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, sprockets, chains, couplings, and related hardware
- Ability to perform precision alignment, leveling, fitting, and adjustment to meet specifications
- Comfortable using precision measuring tools, including micrometers, calipers, levels, and indicators
- Ability to drill, tap, ream, grind, cut, and fit metal components as needed
- Strong attention to detail, quality, and working within established tolerances
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small manufacturing team
- Dependable attendance and reliable transportation
- Ability to meet physical requirements, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working in varied positions around heavy equipment
Skills:
- Working knowledge of hydraulic systems (strongly preferred)
- Basic welding or metal fabrication experience
- Experience safely operating forklifts, overhead cranes, and rigging equipment
- prior hands-on experience in industrial machinery assembly and/or heavy equipment maintenance, especially in custom-built or made-to-order equipment environments
- Ability to safely work around heavy machinery, steel components, hydraulic equipment, and typical manufacturing-shop conditions
- Ability to safely handle large components using cranes, hoists, and other lifting equipment
- Willingness to assist with equipment repairs, modifications, rebuilds, and occasional loading/installation/service support as needed
- Commitment to following safety procedures and maintaining a clean, organized work area
- Ability to wear all required PPE
