Part-time schedule of approximately 20 hours per week, Friday through Sunday, with additional hours for some evening hours required for programs and special event coverage, visitor services at the front desk, including welcoming guests, handling admission, tracking demographic data, and communicating about the museum and its programs.

Primary Functions:
This role will support all aspects of the visitor services operation, including guest admission and information, providing program assistance throughout the museum, and assisting with special events such as setup and breakdown.

A bachelor’s degree and at least one year of experience in visitor or guest service or education (preferably in a museum setting) required.

The incumbent must be friendly and accessible, possess excellent customer service skills, work well with a diverse group of colleagues, be flexible in responding to the changing needs of each day, and handle a fast-paced environment while providing a quality visitor education experience. Computer skills are essential. Must be able to learn quickly and adapt to the ticketing and customer relationship software.

Parts of the position require some physical labor, such as moving brochure boxes, chairs, tables, etc., and conducting visitor operations outdoors.

THIS IS A _POSITION WITH NO GUARANTEE OF A CERTAIN NUMBER OF HOURS AND NO BENEFITS. THIS POSITION INVOLVES WORKING ON A TEMP/SEASONAL CONTRACT WHICH CAN BE RENEWED ANNUALLY BASED ON PERFORMANCE AND BUSINESS NEEED.
