Job SummaryUnder the supervision of the Cold Storage Lead and the direction of the Manager, this position supplies the correct product to and from railcars and trucks, directs and records the proper loading of the same, supplies and removes bulk product for all packaging lines and bin dumps, checks accepts, warehouses and re‑warehouses if necessary, and manages all product packaged or processed during the shift.
The role also furnishes and delivers necessary supplies to package lines in accordance with written and verbal instructions to ensure continuous plant operation.
- Remove pallets of finished product from manufacturing areas, verify case count, item , and bay locations, and transfer product into the appropriate bay.
- Place finished product into storage using first‑in, first‑out rotation.
- Re‑palletize partial pallets so that earlier code dates are shipped first.
- Stage and load orders as required on a Bill of Lading.
- Prior to loading any trailer or truck, audit for sanitation, infestation or damages; record findings on a Trailer Inspection Report and report discrepancies to the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Record items, amounts and code dates of items shipped on the Bill of Lading.
- Double‑check items and amounts after loading to ensure correctness.
- Count inventory whenever necessary.
- Prioritize multiple tasks to supply process lines with the materials and support needed to run budgeted line flows.
- At least 1 year of experience as a forklift operator.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Must be able to work all shifts: 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., 7 p.m. – 7 a.m.
- Compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) policies and ability to wear required personal protective equipment.
- Availability for scheduled and unscheduled overtime.
