Senior Accountant

The Opportunity

Fishbowl is looking for a self-motivated Accountant to join our growing Finance team. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, you’ll play an active role across multiple areas of our accounting operations — from reconciliations and journal entries to payroll support and ad hoc analysis.

• Perform monthly account reconciliations and review general ledger accounts
• Prepare and post journal entries with accuracy and appropriate documentation
• Apply GAAP principles to revenue recognition processes
• Calculate and maintain deferred revenue schedules and related balances
• Manage accounts receivable reconciliation and support billing processes, including invoice generation, payment application, and aging report review
• Manage expense reimbursements and reconcile company credit cards
• Conduct regular analysis of employee expenditures and flag variances
• Deliver ad hoc reporting and financial analyses as requested
• Provide backup support for Payroll and Accounts Payable functions
• Support additional responsibilities as the team and business evolve

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 3+ years of relevant accounting experience
• 1+ year of hands-on Excel experience in a professional setting
• 1+ year working with Net Suite and Quick Books Online (QBO)
• 1+ year working with Salesforce
• Strong understanding of GAAP, particularly as it relates to revenue recognition
