Job Description & How to Apply Below

The Brick Studio is a boutique, full-service interior design firm. We serve high-end residential and commercial clients that are seeking a timeless, carefully curated look for their home or office. We are growing quickly and need someone to help us build out the operational and financial side of our office so the creative team can focus on designing beautiful spaces.

This is an on-site, full-time position as a Business Manager in our office in American Fork, Utah.

Responsibilities

The Business Manager will oversee daily business operations and systems, bookkeeping and reporting, client invoicing and collections, vendor and trade account management, project budget tracking, and payroll and HR. Responsibilities also include supervising staff, streamlining processes, ensuring compliance with policies, and fostering client relationships to promote growth and maintain high standards of service. You will work closely with the company principals to provide visibility, structure and accountability.

This is a hands‑on role in a small firm that is growing quickly, and you'll have an opportunity to help us build something special.

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in office management, business operations, or a similar role; experience in an interior design, architecture, construction, or creative services firm strongly preferred
  • Strong bookkeeping proficiency, including hands‑on experience with Quick Books Online (or equivalent) — comfortable owning the books, not just reviewing them
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and competing priorities simultaneously without losing detail
  • Familiarity with design‑industry software such as Houzz Pro or Studio Designer a significant plus
  • Experience setting up and managing trade accounts, purchase orders, and procurement logistics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to represent the firm professionally with clients, vendors, and tradespeople
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace
  • Discreet, professional, and trustworthy — this role has access to confidential financial and personnel information
  • Self‑starter who identifies problems and solves them without being asked, while keeping ownership appropriately informed
  • Calm under deadline pressure; detail‑oriented but able to keep the big picture in view
  • Genuine appreciation for creative work and the patience to support a designer‑led culture
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field preferred
