Middle School Math Teacher

Overview

Full-Time Middle School Math Teacher: American Heritage School is seeking a qualified Full-Time Middle School Math Teacher for the 2026–27 school year. This position provides the opportunity to support students in developing strong mathematical understanding, problem-solving skills, and confidence while working within a rigorous, faith-based academic environment.

• Prepare and deliver daily lesson plans.
• Establish and clearly communicate learning objectives.
• Use a variety of pedagogical methods to support diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Assess student progress and maintain accurate academic records.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback.
• Create a classroom environment that is respectful, structured, and academically engaging.
• Communicate regularly and professionally with parents, colleagues, and school administration.
• Participate in department meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events; collaborate with colleagues in support of the school s mission.
• Uphold and serve as ambassadors for the AHS Mission, Honor Code, and Diversity Statement on and off campus.

• Minimum of two years of teaching experience, preferably in a formal middle school setting.
• Bachelor s degree or equivalent.
• Demonstrated enduring love of youth, love of teaching and learning, and desire to work in an educational atmosphere aligned with the values and teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills, professionalism, high energy, and a willingness to grow and improve as an educator.
• Interest in assisting with AHS extracurricular athletics programs; experience as a player or coach is a plus.
