Untrained — Lane 5 $ 15.61;
Trained — Lane 6 $ 16.62 (employee may complete an in-district training to qualify for lane

Greenwood Elementary School is seeking a dedicated Lunchroom/Recess Supervisor to support student success by encouraging safe behavior in the lunchroom and during lunch recess. The hours are daily from 11:30–1:00. The role includes monitoring behavior in the lunchroom and recess, assisting students in lining up to enter the lunchroom or return to their classrooms. This position is physically active and will include recess supervision in all types of weather, with an emphasis on clear communication and maintaining expectations to create a positive environment.

Essential

Functions
  • Assists students, individually or in groups.
  • Demonstrates appropriate role modeling (e.g., conversation, manners, emotional support, listening skills, friendly and engaging attitudes) to guide students in developing appropriate social and interpersonal behavior.
  • Reports observations and incidents relating to specific students (e.g., accidents, fights, inappropriate social behavior, violations of rules, safety conditions) to appropriate instructional and/or administrative personnel.
  • Supervises and escorts students to/from recess/lunchroom to provide a safe and optimal learning environment.
Qualifications
  • Age 16+
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must complete mandatory employee training within the first 3 months of employment.
