American Heritage School is a mission-driven, faith-centered private school aligned with the teachings and values of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We are seeking a Head Coach-JV Boys Golf Team who is passionate about both golf and helping students grow physically, spiritually, socially, and intellectually.
Compensation is a seasonal stipend.
Nature of the RoleThis position is considered a faith-forming role within American Heritage School. The Head Coach-JV Boys Golf Team is expected to actively support, model, and teach principles consistent with the Mission and values of AHS and the teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, overseeing the JV boys golf program; supporting the varsity boys golf team; upholding the mission and standards of American Heritage School.
QualificationsCandidates should have a golf background. Successful candidates will demonstrate:
- Experience with golf
- Experience coaching
- An enduring love of youth and a genuine passion for teaching and learning
- The ability to use sports as a tool to build better disciples of Jesus Christ and Christian character.
- A commitment to actively participate in and contribute to a faith-based educational environment aligned with the teachings and values of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
- Strong communication and management skills
In addition to Head Coach-JV Boys Golf Team responsibilities, the successful candidate is expected to:
- Integrate faith-based principles and moral reasoning into athletics administration where appropriate
- Serve as an example of Christian character and discipleship to students
- Support and uphold the spiritual mission of the school through daily interactions with students and colleagues
- Respond thoughtfully to student questions related to faith, values, and moral decision-making in a manner consistent with the school's mission
Candidates should be professional in appearance and demeanor and willing and able to serve as ambassadors for AHS Mission, Honor Code, and Diversity Statement on and off campus. Personal conduct, public statements, and online presence, both on and off campus, are expected to reflect and support the school's religious mission and educational purpose.
