Hourly range: $30.00 to $53.07 per hour.

• Enforce state and local laws to uphold peace and protect citizens.
• Prevent crime through proactive patrols and deter criminal activity.
• Swiftly respond to calls for service and render aid to those in distress.
• Investigate criminal activity and bring suspects to justice.
• Complete detailed, accurate reports of criminal cases and arrests.
• Engage in policing strategies that promote longevity in community relations.

• High school diploma and "basic certification" through Utah P.O.S.T.; or current enrollment in the Police Academy; or current employment at a Utah law enforcement agency.
• LEO certification
• Must possess a valid Utah State driver's license.
• Must maintain law enforcement certification by completing annual training requirements in the department.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years old and pass comprehensive background checks and psychological examinations.
• Proficiency in modern law enforcement principles, interrogation techniques, crisis management; knowledge of applicable Federal, State, County, and City laws; and methods of arrest and emergency vehicle operations.
• Ability to use firearms, less-lethal weapons, and police equipment; strong interviewing, communication, problem-solving, and physical fitness skills.
