Role DescriptionThe Primary Therapist is a full-time clinician responsible for providing individual, group, and family therapy services to clients at Healthier You Counseling Center. This role is based in American Fork, UT, with a combination of in-office sessions and flexibility for documentation and telehealth services. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting psychosocial assessments, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, monitoring client progress through scheduled therapy sessions, and adjusting interventions as needed.
The Primary Therapist will coordinate care with other providers, maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, and participate in case consultations and team meetings. Additional duties may include providing crisis intervention, offering education and support to clients and families, and adhering to all ethical, legal, and regulatory standards.
- Clinical treatment skills, including Treatment Planning and experience working with Dual Diagnosis presentations.
- Background in Social Work or related counseling fields, with competence in Case Management and client advocacy.
- Knowledge of Chemical Dependency, substance use disorders, and related recovery-oriented interventions.
- Current licensure or eligibility for licensure (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, CMHC, or equivalent) in the state of Utah.
- Strong therapeutic communication skills, cultural humility, and the ability to build collaborative, trusting relationships with clients.
- Experience with evidence-based practices, including training in Critical Memory Intergration and Accelerated Resolution Therapy. This can be done after hiring.
- Ability to manage a full clinical caseload, maintain thorough documentation, and use electronic health record systems efficiently.
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related behavioral health field.
