JOB SUMMARYAs a Cook, you are responsible for providing the  Habit Difference  through food. From our award-winning Char burgers to our fresh salads, our Cooks ensure that our guests enjoy fresh, quality, cooked to order, and custom-built items from our kitchen. Cooks work together in a variety of stations to accurately and efficiently prepare and cook food items. The stations include Fryer, Broiler, Make-Up and Quarterback.

Each station is responsible for a different part of the cooking process to produce quality food items. You are also responsible for adhering to all sanitation, health, personal hygiene, and safety standards as well as maintaining kitchen cleanliness and organization. As a Cook, you will be cross-trained in the different stations in the kitchen, which will increase your value to our company and may allow you to work more shifts.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Correctly prepare all foods served following standard recipes, working on several different orders simultaneously.
• Restocks food items and kitchen supplies; stores and rotates food properly and safely.
• Operate cooking equipment such as flat grills, char broiler, fryer, slicer, etc.
• Comply with all established standards, including personal safety, food safety, sanitation, personal hygiene, appearance, and uniform.
• Observe proper food preparation and handling techniques.
• Keep work area neat and clean at all times; cleans and maintains equipment, cooking surfaces and utensils used in food preparation.
