Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Manager of Fullstack Software Engineering to lead high-performing teams building the user-facing platforms and robust backend services that power LVT’s intelligent site technology. You will bridge the gap between complex edge data and intuitive cloud applications, directing the architecture of scalable APIs and highly responsive user interfaces. You will collaborate with Product, Design, and Platform teams to deliver real-time security and operational intelligence while mentoring and growing an engineering team.

This role is based in-office at our Headquarters in American Fork, Utah.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Team Leadership & Talent Development: Lead, coach, and grow high-performing teams of fullstack, frontend, and backend engineers. Recruit exceptional talent and foster an environment that supports mentorship, ownership, and long-term retention.
• Fullstack Architecture & Scalability: Design, build, and maintain scalable, cloud-native backend services and performant frontend architectures capable of processing real-time video and IoT data streams.

  Work with Product Management and Product Design to translate user needs into intuitive interfaces and seamless customer workflows.
• Technical Strategy & Execution: Translate product strategy into technical roadmaps and execution plans, balancing near-term feature delivery with long-term architectural health.
• Engineering Excellence: Establish modern software engineering practices, including testing, CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and performance monitoring.
• Data Integration & APIs: Oversee development of secure, well-documented APIs (REST, GraphQL, gRPC) connecting cloud platforms with edge devices and AI services.
• Developer Experience & Velocity: Optimize internal development workflows, tools, and environments to maximize productivity and accelerate delivery.
• Cross-functional Alignment: Partner with Security, Infrastructure, AI/ML, and Hardware teams for cohesive integration across the product ecosystem.

• Engineering Leadership
  
  Experience:
  
  10+ years of professional software engineering, including 4+ years of directly managing and growing fullstack or product-focused teams in high-growth environments.
• Fullstack Technical Expertise: Strong foundation with modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Type Script) and backend ecosystems (e.g., Python, Go, Node.js).
• Scalable Cloud Systems: Experience designing and operating highly available cloud-native architectures (preferably AWS) supporting high-throughput data, streaming, or large-scale IoT integrations.
• Product & Design Centricity: Focus on user experience with consumer-grade or enterprise SaaS web applications.
• API Design & Integration: Understanding of modern API patterns, state management, and asynchronous data flows.
