Job SummaryThis position is responsible for providing administrative support for the operations of assigned academic departments (History and Political Science).
Responsibilities- Provide support to the Dean, Department Chairs, and faculty.
- Assist the Dean, Chairs, and faculty members with special projects.
- Attend meetings and record minutes.
- Compile data and prepare a variety of regular and special reports.
- Submit textbook orders for faculty.
- Proctor exams.
- Schedule appointments.
- Enter course data: semester Schedule of Classes into Banner system.
- Make class updates, additions, deletions, and corrections.
- Update prerequisites as needed and process approved changes into the catalog.
- Update course descriptions.
- Maintain department inventories; check stock to determine inventory level.
- Order office supplies and handle department purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
- Maintain purchasing records.
- Answer telephone calls, greet visitors, provide information, take messages, and refer to appropriate personnel.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail.
- Prepare a variety of correspondence.
- Maintain files and records and prepare forms and other documents.
- Coordinate maintenance of office equipment.
- Perform a variety of related duties.
- Associate’s degree required.
- More than one year of related experience required.
Proposed salary: $20.56 per hour (estimated annual salary $42,764.70).
