Job Summary

This position is responsible for coordinating the evaluation and processing of transfer credits, managing veterans benefits related enrollment and compliance functions, supporting student records operations, and performing other related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluates transcripts to accurately apply transfer credit.
  • Researches catalogs and reviews course descriptions of other institutions.
  • Maintains the Banner catalog to ensure transfer equivalencies are current.
  • Assists faculty and staff in resolving transfer credit issues.
  • Maintains GaTransfer information.
  • Provides excellent customer service to veterans and active‑duty personnel through outreach and communication to encourage retention and degree completion.
  • Performs academic reporting responsibilities related to tuition assistance.
  • Certifies enrollment through Enrollment Manager and keeps the VA informed of veteran enrollment status.
  • Applies current VA rules, benefits, and updates to the SCO Handbook.
  • Assists with annual updates to the State Approving Agency (SAA) regarding new programs and program changes.
  • Maintains records for VA students and prepares documentation for VA audits.
  • Reviews student enrollments to ensure compliance with degree pathways.
  • Coordinates with Student Accounts regarding VA‑related services.
  • Assists faculty and staff in resolving VA‑related issues.
  • Advise, register, and communicate with incoming transient students.
  • Review and process out‑of‑state student waivers.
  • Maintain and update student academic records in Degree Works.
  • Maintain information and download test scores from the Advanced Placement Portal.
  • Receive and process student test scores in Banner.
  • Assist with the NCAA eligibility processes.
  • Assist with reviewing Banner testing documentation for upcoming Banner upgrades.
  • Serve as a backup for processing substitution forms.
  • Serve as a backup for front office duties as needed.
  • Assist with graduation audits and graduation ceremonies.
  • Assist with the implementation of USG initiatives.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Baccalaureate degree in a related course of study.
  • More than one year of related experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Student records management principles.
  • University graduation policies and processes.
  • Banner and Degree Works.
  • Transfer credit course equivalencies.
  • Veterans benefits policies and procedures.
  • Operation of computers and job‑related software programs.
