Responsibilities

* Full-time, 10-month tenure track (August 1, 2026, through May 31, 2027); 4/4 teaching load with the possibility of summer teaching.

* Serve as Director of Choral and Vocal Activities

* Direct the Concert Choir

* Teach Applied Voice

* Other courses may include Vocal Techniques, Vocal Diction, Music Appreciation, Music Education, Music Theory, and/or Music History, according to interest and departmental needs.

* Actively engage in research and scholarly activities to contribute to the academic excellence of the department.

* Deliver a variety of courses in the department according to interest and departmental needs in multiple formats including, but not limited to, online, hybrid, and face-to-face.

* Provide dedicated advising and mentorship to students as assigned, fostering their academic and professional growth.

* Demonstrate a strong commitment to service through active participation in departmental, University, and professional activities.

* Actively engagement in Student Success Initiatives and Professional Development.

* Other duties assigned by the Department Chair, Dean, and Administration.

Required Qualifications

Doctorate in Music or Music Education (required, ABD considered) by time of appointment.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience teaching k-12 and university-level.

* Experience teaching in online and hybrid modalities.

* Experience collaborating across disciplines.

* Experience serving as an academic advisor.

* Experience coordinating students in experiential learning opportunities, internships, and High Impact Practices (HIPs).

Proposed Salary

$60,000-$65,000, depending on experience and qualifications
