Job Summary

This position directs the department's compliance functions and manages a variety of student athlete support services. This position will also participate in athletics fundraising and build external relationships that will advance the university's mission.

Responsibilities
  • Oversees department compliance with all relevant rules and regulations. (65%)
    • Oversees and reviews the eligibility of all student‑athletes in accordance with NCAA regulations.
    • Oversees rules training and interpretation for coaches and student athletes.
    • Oversees NCAA compliance reporting.
    • Oversees NCAA financial aid reporting.
  • Manages the provision of services to student athletes. (20%)
    • Provides academic advising to student athletes.
    • Collaborates with Residence Life, Admissions, and Financial Aid staff to provide services to student athletes.
  • Performs a variety of related duties. (15%)
    • Supervises game day operations for soccer, basketball, baseball, and softball.
    • Serves on university committees.
    • Performs other duties as assigned by Director of Athletics.
Required Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a course of study related to the occupational field required.
  • A minimum of four years of related experience required.
  • Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Knowledge of intercollegiate athletics.
  • Knowledge of the rules and regulations governing intercollegiate athletics.
  • Knowledge of budget development and management principles.
  • Knowledge of supervisory principles and practices.
  • Skill in the delegation of responsibility and authority.
  • Skill in the operation of computers and job‑related software programs.
  • Skill in decision making and problem solving.
  • Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public.
  • Skill in oral and written communication.
