Requirements- Bachelor's degree in education and then master’s or doctoral degree in Special Education or Teaching Students with Special Needs
- SPED teachers usually specialize or focus on teaching certain students (K-12th, mild-moderate level students, or even severe autistic students). These specifications may be listed as endorsements on their license.
- Often work with student evaluations: IEPs (Individualized Education Program/Plan)
- Must hold an active Special Education State Teaching License
- VOCO:
Must have State License, 2 Years of school experience, and education certificate if required. - Teaching credential with any of the 6 SPED endorsements
- Start & End Date: 2024 - 2025 New School Year

- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Providing specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities, tailoring approaches to meet individual learning goals and needs.
- Assessing student progress, adapting curriculum materials, and implementing behavior management techniques to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
