Job SummaryNature of Work:
Maintenance and grounds work for the Physical Plant Department, involving general maintenance and grounds duties. This position offers real‑world job training where a student can learn basic maintenance and grounds procedures, gaining valuable knowledge that will give them an advantage in the job search after graduation.
This position reports to:
Plant Director, Physical Plant.
- Assists the Grounds Teams with grounds tasks.
- Assists the Maintenance Teams with building maintenance tasks.
- Assists the department in campus set‑ups.
- Monitors campus areas for contractor work.
- Performs moderate-to-light physical labor.
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students, visitors, and guests, and to efficiently convey information.
- Ability to work independently, with attention to detail.
- This position requires a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) as a condition of employment.
- Must possess a current, valid Georgia driver’s license.
