Jones Welding & Industrial Supplies, Inc. is looking for a dependable, hard-working team member to join our Americus location in a unique hybrid role. This position blends customer service, inside counter sales, warehouse operations, and fire extinguisher shop support.

Whether you're helping a walk-in customer, loading a delivery, or learning how to service fire extinguishers in compliance with NFPA 10, no two days are the same. If you like hands‑on work, enjoy helping customers, and are ready to learn a skilled trade, this might be the perfect opportunity.

• Assist walk‑in customers with welding supplies, PPE, and fire extinguisher needs
• Answer phones and provide friendly, accurate service
• Process sales at the counter using our point‑of‑sale system
• Build strong relationships through attentive, knowledgeable service

• Receive, inspect, and organize incoming shipments
• Operate a forklift to move products safely
  
  Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse environment
• Load and unload deliveries as needed
• Assist with inventory audits and stock rotation

• Learn how to perform fire extinguisher recharges, hydrostatic tests, and maintenance
• Participate in hands‑on training to earn your state certification for portable extinguishers within 90 days
• Assist in delivering and servicing extinguishers for customers
• Keep the extinguisher service area clean and organized

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Forklift experience preferred (or willingness to train)
• Basic computer skills for order processing and inventory
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Ability to pass a drug screening and background check
• Welding product knowledge or industry experience is a plus, but not required
• Willingness to obtain state certification for portable fire extinguisher servicing within 90 days (we provide training!)
