Production Bagger Operator Technician

Tamarack Foods is looking to hire a full-time Production Bagger Operator

Tamarack Foods is seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Bagger Technician to support production operations by operating, monitoring, and assisting with the maintenance of bagging equipment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring product quality, minimizing downtime, and maintaining efficient production flow.

The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, basic maintenance knowledge, and the ability to safely operate packaging equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Operate and monitor bagging equipment during production runs.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot minor mechanical and operational issues on bagging machinery.
• Assist Maintenance Department with repairs and equipment adjustments as needed.
• Ensure proper bag weights, seals, coding, and packaging quality standards are met.
• Maintain accurate production and downtime documentation.
• Perform product changeovers and machine setup adjustments.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of equipment and surrounding work area.
• Follow all food safety, GMP, OSHA, and company safety requirements.
• Communicate equipment concerns or production issues to leadership promptly.
• Assist with minimizing downtime and improving operational efficiency.
• Support other production or maintenance functions as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous manufacturing or food production experience preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and maintenance experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical issues.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
