Job Summary
This position will involve operating a forklift to move materials and finished products within the facility, as well as assisting with the packaging of wrap moulding at the end of the production line and will involve assisting in loading and unloading delivery trucks, as needed. The ideal candidate will be a team player with strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Duties & Resonsibilities:
- Champion Safety. Safety is the upmost priority. Maintains a healthy work environment by following all company standards, policies, and procedures as well as those required by state and federal law.
- Transport material throughout the manufacturing plant safely with forklift.
- Ensure proper packaging and labeling procedures are followed.
- Perform inventory transactions with handheld device when moving material.
- Ensure proper placement of materials on trucks in, order to prevent damage.
- Print materials for delivery drivers from computer.
- Band shipping cartons and pallets for shipping.
- Print labels for shipping cartons.
- Proper PPE Usage while performing all job duties.
- Adhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure accuracy and quality of all deliverables.
- Cleaning up debris where you have moved materials.
- Assist with other production functions as needed.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of two (2) or more years of forklift operator experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferably with unloading/loading of delivery vehicles. Forklift Certification required and recertification every three (3) years or as needed.
- Ability to effectively communicates in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages preferred.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
- Must be able to work well with others and collaborate in a team environment.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- The ability to successfully use a computer without assistance to complete assigned tasks. SAP knowledge preferred.
- The ability to read and comprehend written instructions as required to complete assigned tasks.
- Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment, e.g., safety glasses, hearing protection, and other PPE as required by specific jobs.
- Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment.
- High level attention to detail.
