Our client is an international, Dutch-rooted food business with a strong presence across Europe. They supply branded and private label products and work closely with retailers, distributors, and partners to serve customers efficiently—while adapting to local market needs.
Job Description:
We are looking for a Nordic Account Growth Manager to drive growth across the Nordic region. This role focuses on owning key retail and out-of-home accounts with full P&L responsibility, developing private label opportunities, and expanding both existing brands and export‑driven business. The successful candidate will lead strategic account planning, build new customer opportunities, and strengthen partnerships to unlock incremental growth in the Nordic dairy market.
Responsibilities:
Own and grow key retail and out-of-home accounts with full P&L responsibility
Lead and support the local sales strategy, motivating and driving results for a team of 15 field representatives (Denmark and Finland)
Identify and open new customer opportunities, develop trade stories with marketing, and set clear go‑to‑market plans
Drive brand and private label development, including leading private label tenders and expanding key brands’ presence
Shape and scale the Nordic export model through direct and distributor‑based approaches
Build strategic account plans, lead negotiations, and strengthen long‑term partnerships
Win volume across the Nordics to optimise factory utilisation
Ensure strong in‑store execution by aligning campaigns and calendar planning with internal stakeholders and partners
Requirements:
Master’s degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience, including 2 years in sales
FMCG experience required; export experience is a plus
Proven experience in acquiring new business and growing key accounts
Strong commercial, analytical, and strategic thinking skills
Clear evidence of customer development and measurable revenue growth / impact
Confident communicator with strong influencing skills and a team mindset
Proactive, flexible, well‑organised, and results‑driven
Digitally savvy with a hands‑on, can‑do attitude
Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
Based in the Netherlands
