Architecting the Future Grid:
Pioneering in Large Scale PV & BESS At the SMA Large Scale division, we don't just sell technology—we enable sophisticated grid integration and comprehensive energy management systems, shaping the energy transition for a sustainable and climate-friendly future. We are seeking a high-caliber Key Account Manager to drive the adoption of our portfolio across the most complex utility-scale projects in Benelux (start-up).
This is a strategic, revenue-generating role where your commercial expertise will directly influence the success of large-scale power generators and businesses worldwide.
The Mandate:
Commercial Strategy & Execution Reporting to the Director Large Scale Benelux, your goal is to secure long‑term, high‑value customer relationships and generate substantial revenue by deploying the full SMA portfolio—including solar, storage, and grid solutions—to investors, EPCs, direct customers, and developers.
I. Advanced Global Account Management Revenue Stewardship:
Guarantee existing turnover and strategically realize additional turnover within commercial guidelines.
Need Identification:
Proactively identify and monitor sophisticated customer needs across their project pipeline.
Cross‑Functional Synergy:
Collaborate closely with the international sales team and HQ product management to manage global accounts and align commercial strategy with technical roadmaps.
II. Strategic Business Development & Closing Deal Negotiation:
Lead negotiations, conclude contracts related to price agreements, and prepare offers within a defined price margin.
Market Analysis:
Conduct comparative analysis of competitive solutions and rigorously monitor market trends to identify new customers and commercial opportunities.
Sales Process Mastery:
Manage the entire order process end‑to‑end, and develop strategies to continuously improve and expand the sales process and overall business.
III. Full‑Spectrum Project Integration Tender Support:
Provide core commercial support to tender developers and project developers, analyzing sales results to inform our participation in major bids.
Quotation
Collaboration:
Work closely with the Sales Back office assistant on quotation preparation and technical sales support for large projects.
Customer Advocacy:
Interface directly with Customer Service to guarantee optimal post‑sales support.
Your Profile:
The Strategic Sales Architect
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Economical Sciences, Electro‑Mechanics, Electronics, or equivalent.
Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of external experience specifically within a technical sales environment.
Core Competencies:
Proven talent in negotiation, results‑orientation, analytical thinking, and a dedicated external customer focus.
Language Proficiency:
Fluency (written & spoken) in Dutch, English, and French is an asset. Proficiency in German is a significant advantage.
Technical Tools:
Experience with Salesforce is a strong plus.
