Our client is dairy cooperative with international presence, formed by dairy farmers in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. The company has a large product range including milk, yoghurts, baby and infant nutrition, cheese, butter and several locations in the Netherlands, serving global markets.

Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Key Account Manager to lead growth initiatives across the Nordic region. In this pivotal role, you will drive new business development, strengthen existing customer relationships, and expand market share for a renowned dairy company. Your focus will be on unlocking opportunities within private label segments, managing key accounts, and shaping the company's export model to increase its footprint in Nordic markets.

Responsibilities

Own and develop key retail and out-of-home (OOH) accounts, with full profit and loss responsibility.

Lead and motivate a local sales team of 15 field representatives across Denmark and Finland, ensuring effective in-store execution and strategy alignment.

Identify and open new customer doors, creating compelling trade stories in collaboration with marketing, and defining go-to-market strategies.

Develop and scale the export model for Nordic markets, working directly and through distributors.

Build and maintain strategic account plans, lead negotiations, and foster strong partnerships.

Manage campaigns and coordinate activities with various stakeholders, including partners and retailers, to increase market penetration.

Actively seek new business opportunities and act as a ‘hunter’ to grow footprint in the Nordics.

Requirements

5+ years’ experience in FMCG sales, with a proven track record of developing accounts and growing sales.

Strong commercial, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.

Experience in export markets is a plus.

Demonstrated success in generating new business and expanding market share.

Independent, proactive, and able to work autonomously.

Strong communication and influencing skills, with a team-oriented mindset.

Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.

Willing to work in a hybrid setting, with presence at the office on Mondays and Thursdays.
