Part‑Time Temporary Test Examiner II – Ames Hunziker Testing Center
Salary$22.10 per hour
Job SummaryPart‑time temporary, year‑round Test Examiner II responsible for ensuring a positive experience for exam candidates, maintaining confidentiality, and upholding ethical practices.
Essential Functions- Follow detailed written and verbal directions and complete extensive training.
- Consult the procedures manual for exam administration protocols.
- Communicate and engage with individuals of various backgrounds courteously and positively.
- Respond to inquiries about internal and external testing via phone, email, and in person.
- Perform accurate check‑in process for each exam candidate and maintain secure testing records.
- Administer and proctor a wide variety of computer and paper exams for DMACC students and community professionals.
- Use camera systems and traditional active proctoring methods to monitor candidates, reporting violations to supervisor promptly.
- Work comfortably in an open office environment with frequent interruptions and interactions.
- Support accommodated testing for individuals with disabilities.
- Use DMACC systems to look up student records, post test scores, and communicate scores to other institutions per FERPA.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High‑school graduate or equivalent.
- One year of clerical or general office experience or 15 semester credits of post‑secondary education (equivalent to six months of experience).
- Excellent customer service and communication skills and good attention to detail.
- Computer proficiency and adherence to confidentiality requirements.
- Associate’s degree preferred.
- Two years of experience in an educational institution or in test administration.
Tuesday and Thursday, 9:00 am – 2:00 pm. Ability to work evening hours if needed (e.g., Wednesday 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm).
