Lead Administrative Assistant
Meeker Elementary is seeking a full-time Lead Administrative Assistant for the school year. This position will start in August 2026.
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8 hours daily, 10-month work calendar.
Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the building principals, this position serves Meeker Elementary by working closely and communicating with other personnel, students, parents and the public.
Responsibilities/
Essential Functions:
- Communicates in a welcoming and supportive way toward all students, co-workers, parents, staff, and community members.
- Assists building principals regarding staff duties, assignments, policies, and procedures.
- Manages and completes building records and reports, including building budgetary accounts.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for external partners during scheduled on-site visits, balancing vendor requirements with organizational needs.
- Compiles daily incoming inquiries, notifications, and pre-scheduled requests to generate accurate, real-time status reports and tracking logs.
- Contacts parents/guardians regarding student absences.
- Supervises students sent to the office for discipline.
- Works closely with school busing company concerning eligible students and problems throughout the year.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent. Post high school education in related field, or the equivalent in experience preferred.
- Prefer a minimum of two years' experience as an administrative assistant.
- Experience with computer applications: preferably Infinite Campus, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Excel, Word and Apple OS.
The successful candidate will exhibit:
- Knowledge and ability to work effectively and collaboratively with various stakeholders, including students, parents, and visitors.
- Knowledge of general office procedures and equipment (i.e. personal computer, calculator, other office equipment).
- Knowledge of office practices and procedures to include recordkeeping, filing, and reporting methods, including Google Docs, email, spreadsheets, etc.
- Ability to handle confidential work with tact and discretion.
- Ability to interact with other staff, students, and the public to obtain and provide information.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Ability to interpret and follow oral and written instructions.
- High standards of ethical conduct and exhibits honesty and integrity.
- Commitment to quality service.
- High level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments efficiently.
- Works with minimal supervision.
- Consistent and punctual work attendance.
Compensation: $19.70 per hour: benefit-eligible position
