This position is located in Cedar Rapids, IA on a job site. Once the job is completed, full-time employment will be assessed in Ames, IA.

Job SummarySeeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our team. This role covers pre‑construction project management and coordination of job activities, with the potential to progress to a Junior Project Manager within five years.
Duties- Complete job opening paperwork
- Set up and maintain project book; post addendums, bid changes in specs and drawings; submit reviews
- Acquire quotes from vendors and subcontractors
- Copy and file construction documents
- Track material deliveries, prices, and input change requests; perform quantity takeoffs of materials; check material orders
- Prepare and process O&M schedules
- Communicate with staff, customers, vendors, architects, engineers, etc.
- Attend job‑related meetings
- Monitor job progress; retrieve and deliver information; maintain drawings
- Assist in estimating and purchasing on a per‑job basis
- Travel out‑of‑town and overnight may be required
- Other duties as assigned by the General Manager
- Degree in project management, construction, or related field, or at least four years of construction experience
- Strong reading, writing, listening, and communication skills in English
- Valid driving record meeting company requirements
- Successful passing of pre‑employment drug screening

Physical Requirements
Primarily works in the office with potential for travel. Employees may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibrations, loud noises, and other hazards within OSHA standards when visiting the jobsite. Outdoor conditions may include inclement weather such as heat, humidity, cold, wind, and dust. May be expected to carry up to 30 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally, stand for long periods, walk moderate‑to‑long distances on varying surfaces, climb, crawl, crouch, reach, grip, push, and pull without issue.
