Part‑time Assistant Clinical Professor – Fall 2026

The nursing program at Iowa State University is hiring a part‑time Assistant Clinical Professor to develop and teach a graduate‑level course—Advanced Practice Theory and Application—in the fall semester each year. This 9‑month, 15% effort, three‑year term (renewable) position requires:

• Developing course content, modules, readings, multimedia resources, assessments, and discussion prompts in collaboration with the Director of Nursing Education and nursing faculty.
• Integrating Open Educational Resources (OER) and ensuring content relevance while promoting student‑centered learning for diverse student needs.
• Serving as instructor of record for the online course during the fall semester.
• Participating in course review and revision based on feedback and evaluation metrics, meeting project deadlines, and maintaining regular communication with the course development team.

• Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of Iowa.
• Doctoral degree (PhD, DrPH, DNP, or EdD) in a relevant field.
• Demonstrated expertise in the specified course disciplines, supported by academic and experiential qualifications.

• Experience in curriculum development and/or instructional design, including online courses.
• Strong written communication skills and ability to present complex ideas clearly.
• Ability to integrate technology into teaching and learning.
• Familiarity with OER and digital pedagogy.
• Completion of Quality Matters or similar instructional design training.
• Experience working with graduate‑level programs.
