• Valid Iowa teaching license.
• Special Education Strategist I endorsement or willingness to obtain required endorsement.
• Special Education Strategist II BD/LD endorsements preferred.

• Ability to bend, lift, sit on the floor, run short distances, and assist physically active students.
• Basic understanding of the needs of children and the ability to relate to children with different academic and behavioral needs.
• Professional communication skills.
• Patience and compassion; maintain a caring and helpful relationship with children.
• Initiative and insight to anticipate problem situations and respond accordingly.
• Ability to create a sense of belonging and welcoming environment for all students and staff.
