As we continue to grow, we’re looking for aMechanical Engineerto join our team. In this role, you will design HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems across a range of commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. Key Responsibilities- Design HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems under the guidance of senior engineers
- Perform system calculations using industry-standard design software
- Produce high-quality construction drawings and technical documentation
- Assist in creating technical reports and feasibility studies
- Conduct field investigations and site assessments of existing systems
- Review contractor submittals and respond to RFIs
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards, including ASHRAE
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Construction Engineering
- 3–10 years of experience in HVAC design for commercial, industrial, or institutional buildings
- Experience in plumbing and fire protection systems design
- EIT or PE license (or working toward licensure)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC software (e.g., Trane TRACE, Carrier HAP)
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage directly with clients
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Based in Ames or Des Moines, IA, or Omaha, NE
