The Compliance Chemist is responsible for activities supporting the Chemical Compliance Team and the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) requirements and will maintain Hach’s compliance to global chemical regulations.
In this role, a typical day will look like:
- Authoring Safety Data Sheets (SDSs)
- GHS (Globally Harmonized System) classification of chemical mixtures and raw materials
- Chemical formula maintenance using WERCS
- Maintenance of environmental compliance data
- Creating and implementing Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
- Support chemical compliance projects as needed
- Bachelor of Science in Chemistry required
- Highly proficient in computer skills with a demonstrated ability to learn new programs and databases
- Strong attention to detail and process orientation
- Ability to gather and analyze data
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Experience in GHS (Globally Harmonized System)
- Experience in environmental compliance

The compensation ranges reflect the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of posting. The range may be modified in the future. Final pay is based on factors including education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, location, performance, travel requirements, and business needs.
Compensation range: $55,000 - $65,000 USD per year. This role is eligible for Bonus Pay. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
