Chemical Engineer, Regulatory Compliance Specialist
About the Role
The Compliance Chemist is responsible for activities supporting the Chemical Compliance Team and the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) requirements and will maintain Hach’s compliance with global chemical regulations.
Responsibilities- Authoring Safety Data Sheets (SDSs)
- GHS (Globally Harmonized System) classification of chemical mixtures and raw materials
- Chemical formula maintenance using WERCS
- Maintenance of environmental compliance data
- Creating and implementing Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
- Support chemical compliance projects as needed
- Bachelor of Science in Chemistry required
- Highly proficient in computer skills with a demonstrated ability to learn new programs and databases
- Strong attention to detail and process orientation
- Ability to gather and analyze data
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Experience in GHS (Globally Harmonized System)
- Experience in environmental compliance
Salary range: $55,000 - $65,000 USD per year (US only). Eligible for bonus pay. Benefits include paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k).
