Quality Engineer

Quality Engineer I – Ames, IA

Reporting to the Quality Manager, this role supports product quality and manufacturing performance through data analysis, problem solving, and execution of quality system processes. The position is part of the Quality Engineering team, located on site in Ames, Iowa.

• Perform data analysis and problem‑solving activities to support customer complaints and internal nonconformances.
• Support design of experiments (DOE) and validation activities for product and process improvements.
• Maintain change orders for products and procedures.
• Support validation of materials, processes, and equipment.
• Contribute to Quality Management System (QMS) processes, including CAPA, SCAR, document control, and internal audits.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to support continuous improvement.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Sciences, or a related technical field.
• Experience in quality, engineering, or manufacturing environments (preferred).
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or FDA 21 CFR 820).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation.
• Familiarity with statistical analysis or problem‑solving tools.

Salary range: $53,000 – $70,000 USD per year (US only). Eligible for bonus pay. Benefits include paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and flexible working hours. Additional benefits may be provided at the company’s discretion.
