We are looking for a Sr. Operations Engineer to lead and shape manufacturing, quality, and service operations at our Ames, Iowa facility. You will drive process improvements, ensure operational excellence, and support the launch of new hybrid and electric drivetrain products.

• Design, implement, and continuously improve manufacturing processes using Lean tools to boost efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Act as the engineering lead for new product introductions, collaborating with design teams to ensure new products launch seamlessly into production.
• Provide direct technical support to customers, resolving issues remotely and on‑site.
• Manage the entire customer claim process, from initial communication to hands‑on analysis and reporting to identify root causes and prevent future issues.
• Drive our quality culture by developing process controls, analyzing supplier performance, and ensuring all engineering changes are implemented flawlessly.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field and 6+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record of improving processes using Lean methodologies (Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis).
• Proficiency with 2D and 3D CAD software such as AutoCAD, Creo, or Solid Works.
• Experience in technical customer support, troubleshooting and resolving complex issues.
• Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
