As a Sr.
Operations Engineer
, you will be the engineering cornerstone for our growing Ames, Iowa facility. You will have the unique opportunity to lead and shape our manufacturing, quality, and service operations, ensuring we can deliver on the promise of a cleaner, more efficient future.
Your work will directly contribute to our mission of reducing emissions and fuel consumption for our customers. You will be a key technical expert, driving process improvements and providing critical support that keeps our innovative systems running in the most demanding environments.
What You’ll Be Doing- Design, implement, and continuously improve our manufacturing processes using
Lean tools
to boost efficiency, quality, and safety. - Act as the engineering lead for new product introductions, collaborating with design teams to ensure new products are launched seamlessly into production.
- Provide direct
technical support to our customers
, serving as a trusted expert to resolve issues both remotely and on-site. - Manage the entire customer claim process, from initial communication to hands‑on analysis and reporting, to identify root causes and prevent future issues.
- Drive our quality culture by developing process controls, analyzing supplier performance, and ensuring all engineering changes are implemented flawlessly.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field and 6+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- A proven track record of improving processes using
Lean methodologies (e.g., Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis). - Proficiency with
2D and 3D CAD software (such as AutoCAD, Creo, or Solid Works). - Experience providing technical customer support, with a knack for troubleshooting and resolving complex issues.
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
