The Impact You'll MakeAs a Senior System Application Engineer, you will be the primary technical representative to the customer for Danfoss Power Solutions. You will provide technical assistance, contribute to developing engineering solutions, and make a sustainable difference to people's lives around the globe.
What You’ll Be Doing- Develop strong mobile machine expertise through research, testing, and analysis of agricultural, construction, material handling, turf, and specialty machines.
- Work with the technical sales team to evaluate customer specifications, contribute to technical proposals that lead to new business, respond to technical requests, manage customer projects, provide technical training, evaluate product applications, and document these activities.
- Specify DPS products, ensuring conformance to component application requirements and machine performance expectations.
- Design system control architecture, logic, and parameters to meet safety, performance, and life requirements.
- Research, develop, analyze, and test alternate machine system designs for feasibility, cost, operation, and performance in the mobile machine market.
- Investigate machine problems or component failures and recommend remedial actions, system design changes, or alternate components.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) preferred in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Agricultural Engineering.
- Five or more years of relevant experience, or candidates with a B.S. degree and applicable internship experience will be considered.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink or other simulation modeling software.
- Machine testing experience and troubleshooting ability.
- Technical writing experience preferred.
- Indirect leadership skills to organize multiple OEM customer projects as a technical expert.
