Job Description
Respond to utility locate requests generated through the 811 One Call system and accurately identify and mark the location of underground facilities including:
- Telecommunications cables
- Fiber optic lines
Locators work independently in the field using electronic locating equipment, maps, and utility records to determine the path of buried facilities.
The pay hourly pay for this position ranges from $20-$25 based on skillset and experience.

No experience technically needed, 2-3 week training
- Previous locating experience for utilities
- Quite a bit of walking, lift vault lids off (30-40 lbs), vault hook
- Get a little dirty - might have to dig down to find copper line
- Valid DL
- Some shoveling involved
