The City of Ames is seeking a Public Safety Dispatcher to operate a complex communications system and handle emergency and non-emergency calls for service in a 24/7/365 environment.
Dispatchers will direct police, fire, and EMS resources, maintain logs, and coordinate with City departments. Candidates must complete required certifications within specified time frames and work schedule includes shift assignments and potential overtime.
