We have an immediate opening for a full-time experienced Ophthalmic technician based in our Ames clinic.
The ophthalmic technicians work closely with ophthalmologists to provide comprehensive care for our patients. Candidates should be ready to work both independently and as a member of a team, accept responsibility for assigned patient care and be able to perform responsibilities in a friendly and efficient manner.
Responsibilities include:
-Taking patient medical and ocular histories-Performing patient workups-Diagnostic testing
Experience is required.
Ideal candidates would be skilled in:
-Retinoscopy-Manual refraction-Applanation A-scan-Manual keratometry-Tonometry-Performing OCT and VF testing
Daytime travel required. When traveling outside your base clinic, travel time and mileage will be reimbursed.
