Must be open to one or all shifts below:
- 10am-7pm CST
- 11am-8pm CST
- 3pm-Midnight CST

Insight Global is looking to hire a technically inclined Helpdesk Support Technician in a 3-to-4-month Contract role for an Internet Service Provider client of ours in Ames, IA. This candidate will be answering phones from customers who want to activate their Internet, Phone, or TV services. Qualified candidates will be expected to speak the technical language and have a basic understanding of Windows and IOS operating systems, as well as basic knowledge regarding networking connectivity issues surrounding Internet Services.
In the month of August, the ticketing queue and phones will be ringing non-stop, as college students will come back for fall semester and the call volume increases tremendously. There is training provided in a 2-week period to get everyone up to speed.
- Basic working knowledge of how IT Networking operates regarding routers(guis), switches, and modem set-ups
- Basic troubleshooting experience with Windows or IOS operating systems
- Self-starter, someone who can be professionally persistent and have proper business ethics
