McFarland Clinic is currently accepting application for Inventory Control Specialist for its Ames office. Candidates should be service-oriented, a team player, and be able to provide extraordinary care, every day to our patients.
Responsibilities include:
overseeing, processing, computer data, and distributing Central Supply inventory. Manages inventory records online in Acumatica ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system and performs real-time inventory maintenance. Assists clinic personnel with supply orders and inventory concerns by coordinating with Purchasing Agents in accordance with McFarland Clinic's Core Values and Promise.
- Plan required real-time inventory management work by discussing assignments, needs, and problems with Manager and Purchasing Agents on stock orders.
- Monitors Central Supply stock levels, communicates any stock outages and concerns to Purchasing Agents, Inventory Clerks and Manager.
- Processes daily Acumatica orders submitted and window orders with Purchasing Agent to update or change department's submitted sales orders that need processing or resolution.
- Runs Acumatica inventory reports on a daily, weekly, and month basis.
- Reviews and resolves open Acumatica departmental orders in computer each month prior to supply chain month-end close.
- Backup for sterilizing assembly receiving and picking up used instruments, linen and other goods from various departments.
- Performs scheduled cycle inventory counts in Ames Central Supply and in Warehouse 600. Supports Manager in transfers from Warehouse 600 to Central Supply 100.
- Assists in put-away process of received daily orders in appropriate bins, shelves, and current labels with the Supply Clerk team.
- Interacts with clinic customers as to specific department needs and shares with respective Purchasing Agent for action decisions forward.
- Investigates inventory discrepancies and promptly makes appropriate adjustments after Purchasing Agent approval to do so.
- Manages special laundry requests that come into Central Supply and coordinates request with laundry team and Purchasing Agent.
- Conducts brief huddles with updates regarding backorders and substitutions to inventory clerks and purchasing agents. Adds critical updates to whiteboard in Central Supply.
Education
- High School Diploma, GED or HiSET.

: 12:30 PM - 4:30 PM
Experience
- Two years central supply experience/Inventory experience preferred.
Pre-employment drug screen and criminal history background checks are a condition of hire.
