RequiredMinimum Qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years experience in an industrial plant, process plant or utility plant maintenance environment with experience in rotating equipment maintenance, or a two-year post high school technical degree in industrial maintenance.
- Experience in maintenance and repair of high pressure watertube boilers and accessories.
- Experience in maintenance and repair of pumps, electric motors, and steam turbines greater than 200 HP.
- Experience in maintenance and repair of piping systems, threaded, flanged, and welded.
- Experience in maintenance and repair of hydraulic cylinders, and pneumatic/vacuum systems.
Facilities Planning and Management at Iowa State University is seeking qualified candidates for the Utility Plant Maintenance Mechanic I position. Under general supervision, assists with installation and repair of piping; performs preventive maintenance and maintenance duties in assigned areas of the utility plant as well as general carpentry work.
