Job Description

Department: The Resources and Acquisition Bureau seeks an experienced Facilities Maintenance Coordinator. This role plays a key part in the Bureau's mission by supporting the maintenance and enhancing the physical condition of our facilities. The position is responsible for onsite facility evaluations, estimating project costs, sourcing materials and contractors, and coordinating maintenance work to ensure smooth and efficient operations. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and excels at managing multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities- Conduct regular onsite facility inspections and identify maintenance needs.
- Communicate with DOT staff from across the agency to receive facility requests and coordinate maintenance repairs.
- Estimate costs for repairs and small projects; obtain quotes from vendors when under competitive bid threshold, submit requisitions to purchasing when over competitive bid threshold.
- Perform minor construction and repair tasks including rough and finish carpentry and lock installation.
- Coordinate and oversee the work of external contractors to ensure quality and timely completion.
- Take direction and collaborate closely with Team Lead and other Resources and Acquisitions Bureau members.
- Maintain records of work performed, project timelines, material usage, and expenses.
- Ensure compliance with all building codes and regulations.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License.

MinimumQualification Requirements
- Three years of full-time work experience in the building and trades industry.
- Current, continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes one year of full-time work as a Maintenance Repairer.
