About Bound

We believe an athletic director's job is one of the most critical in a community: to shape the lives and experiences of student-athletes. But as we listened, we learned that with dwindling budgets and growing responsibilities, they’ve had no choice but to spend more time managing logistics than leading their teams and programs. After countless conversations, we gained a deep understanding of their challenges, from handling transactions to managing schedules and tracking results.

This insight was the catalyst for Bound. We created an all-in-one platform to give ADs back their time. With our One Schedule Technology at its core, our platform integrates essential tools like Activity Registration, Tickets and Passes, and 20+ additional solutions. Today, Bound empowers schools across the country to manage every aspect of their athletics and activities, all within a single, unified solution.

We're not just a software company; we are a team made up of former athletic directors, administrators, coaches, parents, and fans. We all share one core belief: in the power of youth sports and activities to positively impact communities and the people who live in them.

About the Role

We're looking for a Director of Product to lead Bound's product strategy across multiple core areas. You'll oversee a team of 2-3 Product Managers, each owning distinct product areas while working toward unified platform goals. In this role, you'll combine strategic vision with hands‑on product leadership — driving discovery, defining requirements, and shipping features that serve athletic directors, business offices, coaches, and families.

Beyond individual product success, you'll build the processes, frameworks, and culture that enable your team to scale thoughtfully and make better decisions faster. You'll mentor and develop your PMs, shape how we approach product work at Bound, and partner cross‑functional with Design, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success to deliver impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own product strategy and roadmaps across multiple core product areas; balance user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility across the portfolio
  • Lead and develop a team of 2-3 Product Managers; provide coaching, mentorship, career guidance and accountability
  • Build product processes, frameworks, and best practices — from discovery and scoping to shipping and iteration; establish standards for how we approach product work
  • Conduct and guide discovery work — user interviews, data analysis, competitive research — to identify high‑impact opportunities across product areas
  • Partner with Design and Engineering to define, build, and iterate on solutions; unblock technical and cross‑functional challenges
  • Define and track success metrics; use data to inform decisions, measure outcomes, and hold the team accountable to impact
  • Communicate product vision, strategy, and progress to leadership, the board, stakeholders, and cross‑functional teams
  • Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success to understand market needs, customer feedback, and competitive dynamics; incorporate insights into strategy
  • Build a culture of continuous learning within the product team; facilitate knowledge‑sharing, feedback loops, and PM skill development
Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role (Senior PM, Group PM, or Director level)
  • Proven track record shipping impactful products from concept through launch, iteration, and scaling in B2B SaaS or platform environments
  • Experience building and mentoring product management teams; demonstrated ability to develop PM talent and shape product culture
  • AI‑first mindset — you leverage AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) across your workflow, from user research analysis and writing specs to competitive intelligence, and you think critically about how AI can enhance product experiences for users
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills — comfortable with data, metrics, and using evidence to drive decisions at both tactical and strategic levels
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to influence without authority and inspire teams…
